And of course, this session is intended for general information purposes. It shouldn't be considered legal advice or legal opinion of any specific facts or circumstances. And also, we're covering Flex perks. So just want everybody to be aware, not every product is available to every employee. There's certain eligible products that going to be displayed within Paychex Flex that they'll have access to. And with that, I'd like to welcome today's presenter, Stephanie Schifano. Stephanie leads go to market marketing strategy and messaging for Paychex Flex Perks. It's a robust suite of employee benefits designed to help businesses attract and retain top talent. With a focus on customer centric storytelling and cross functional alignment, Stephanie drives product adoption and market growth through strategic enablement and impactful campaigns. She holds a doctorate degree from Disney University, an MBA in executive leadership, and a BA in interdisciplinary studies, both from St. John Fisher University. And now Stephanie, I'll turn it over to you. Rob, thank you so much. And as you can see, that doctorate is one of my favorite degrees. What I want to do is kind of talk to everybody about what we're going to learn today. So I want to talk a high level overview of Paychex Flex Perks. I really want you to understand what it's about, but we're quickly then going to dive into a demo. So we're going to go into Paychex Flex, show you what your employees experience in Flex, and I'll walk you through some of the products we have. When we come back out of that, we're going to talk about new perks that are launching that you may or may not have heard about yet. And then I'll talk about the employer toolkit, and this is a great resource for you to utilize. Before we dive into that, Rob, I think I have to kick it back to you for a quick question. Yeah, I'd like to just get a quick virtual show of hands here. Have you heard of Paychex Flex Perks? I imagine some of you are here attending because you do want to hear what's new. You're aware of Perks, you know we're constantly adding to it, and you want the skinny on what's coming up, what's coming available to you and your employees. There's maybe some people here who've never even heard of FlexPerks, so this is their first introduction. So I'd love just to get a feel for, of our attendees. Have you heard of Perks? Have you not? Just to get a feeling for who's aware of all these great benefits that are available, which is exciting, at no cost to you as a business owner. Or do you just want to hear what's new? You can't wait to hear about that and see what's going on. I like to wait till we get to about 50% of attendees responding and we're about there right now. So yes, 21% of people want to hear what's new. They know about Perks, Stephanie. A full 57% have heard it, but would love more details. And we've got 20%. This is their first introduction. So pretty exciting stuff right there. Rob, absolutely agree, and that is so beneficial to me as we start to drive through this presentation. I am going to go back one slide because I think we flipped too soon. I think you and I might have clicked at the same time, Rob. But what I want to do is let me talk to everybody about why paychecks really focus on offering this benefit to our clients to give to your employees. And some of these numbers really scare me, but we've done some research and we found that 70% of employees are living paycheck to paycheck, or excuse me, 70% of Americans. That means they can't cover their standard expenses. 5.9 are unbanked people in The US, so they don't have bank accounts. They're just, like, we'll say, living paycheck to paycheck, and they don't have a bank that they're utilizing to pay their bills. 65% of Gen Z workers have stated that they believe their employers should help with financial wellness and literacy. And I like to throw that in there because they want us to help educate them about their finances. We then have 90% of hourly workers want on demand pay, so they want access to their pay quicker. Of that, 89% say they will stay with the company longer if it offers on demand pay, and 79% have said they would switch jobs if they could go to a job that offered it. So that's a huge statistic to know about. And then finally, 63% of US workers would participate in voluntary benefits from their employer. That's a 45% increase from the previous year. The piece that really stands out to me about that is those voluntary benefits, they're not expecting their employer to pay for them. They just want access to those benefits. And these points are really what Paychecks Flex Perks is all about. So what is it? And let's be realistic. What's in it for you as the employer? As a refresher, or for those that aren't familiar, because we saw we had some that were and some that won't, let's just do a quick overview of Paychex Flex Perks. Essentially, it is a no cost benefit offering for you, the employer, so we are not charging you a thing. If you are a Paychex client, you get access to this to offer it to your employees. It is easy access through Paychex Flex, which is our online portal, and I'm going to take you in there in a few minutes and show you how to navigate through. It's going to minimize the need to research benefit options, so you don't have to do the research because we've done that for you. We're taking the time to make sure we're vetting viable partners that you can then offer up to your employees. It's going to enhance your benefit package. So if you already have a comprehensive medical plan, but you need to add other benefits into that, you can do that through FlexParcs. And then it shows your employees that you value and you care about them and their well-being. And we saw in some of those previous statistics that that's really important to them. So what do we offer? So with Paychex Flex Perks, you can offer your employees, we'll say, valuable benefits, programs, discounts, such as attractions and tickets. So they can go in and they can buy tickets to concerts, Six Flags tickets, any type of thing that they want that they can spend time with their family and enjoy themselves. So they can go in there and grab that. They can get auto options. So it might be auto insurance or car buying or regular maintenance activities. There's all kinds of perks in there that they can take advantage of. They can create valuable memories with their families and find adventures or safety tips or unique family destinations that they might want to visit. There's financial security, and essentially, we talked about this, right? So people want help with their finances, but it could be something as simple as refinancing a student loan or getting additional loan support or legal assistance and guidance there. And then there's home opportunities. So if you want to find want to buy a new TV, you can go and do that inside of Perks. There's insurance help, and there's travel opportunities, and then wellness and beauty. With that, what I want to do, and I need you guys to bear with me, I'm going to share my screen and swap over. So got here we it. Go. We're on it. Rob's on backup duty. So Rob, can you see my screen? I can. There it is right there. There's Paychex Flex. I love it. So this is so exciting. So this is Paychex Flex. This is the experience your employees are going to have when they get in there. Two things I want to point out. We've talked about that On Demand Pay. So right here in the center of the screen where it says earnings available, this is one of the spots your employees can see if they have access to money through Paychex Pay On Demand. So it will live there, and they can go in and they'll see that maybe if they had I mean, I had my battery die from my car a couple weeks ago, and it cost me about $150 to have everything done that I needed to do with it. If I needed money in that moment, I could come in and get FastCash transferred to my account so I could take care of it. The second thing on our dashboard that I want to draw our attention to today is in the left hand navigation, I want to click on My Perks, and that's going to take us right into that employee marketplace. And again, these are benefits that your employees can purchase that you can just say you're offering to them because of your relationship with So as we dive in here, what you're going to see is I am not opted in as an employee to any of these benefits currently because I wanted to walk you through that process. But these are all of the benefits available. And so let me first start by telling you about some of them. So we have affordable benefits and discounts powered by CoreStream. So these are those voluntary benefits that we've talked about. So they can get insurance like short term disability insurance, pet insurance, critical care insurance. So this is where they can go to get some of those insurances, supplemental benefits that are going to help them in their planning for their family. In addition, there are discounts available. So when we talked about some of those ticket discounts and attractions and things like that, CoreStream offers those to you. Next up, we have Paychex Pay. So Paychex Pay is the ability for employees to use a because there might be unbanked, they can get a debit card that they can do direct deposit onto, and they can utilize that card for purchases. We then have pay on demand. So this is what we've been talking about is that access to pay. And what I want to do in a moment is I'm going to get started, and we're going to show you how to opt into Perks or show you how your employees can in case they need help. Next up, we have FinFit. So this is free financial coaching, instant access to credit loans, and there's so many more opportunities with FinFit. They've been a partner of Paychex for many, many years, so we were excited when they agreed to be one of our first perks partners. We then have tax prep software services, and this is offered through both TurboTax and Intuit and H and R Block. This year, I want to alert you guys, we're actually going to start a program with TurboTax called Jumpstart. So when we get into December, they're going to offer your employees the ability to automatically link their W-2s rating to TurboTax. So if your employees want to take advantage of that, they'll just click a button, be connected to it, and then at the point that their W-two is available, it'll be pulled into TurboTax, and they'll be allowed to go complete their tax process. We are not opting the employees into it. That is something that they would opt themselves into. H and R Block, again, very easy tax filing services. So if you have employees that want tax filing services and they're looking for partners to do that with, they can also use H and R Block through our platform. We have PayPal. So this is another opportunity for employees to set up direct deposit. For me personally, I actually have my Hulu come out of this and my children's Spotify account come out of PayPal. So I have a direct deposit that leads right from my paycheck into PayPal, and those bills are covered. So it really is a great opportunity for me in my budgeting to make sure that that money is allocated on a monthly basis. And it helps me kind of split up those payments too, right? So I get paid biweekly, and I can have half of the payment go in my first paycheck and half in the second. So I really like that as an option. We then have Allstate. So Allstate offers auto insurance, and they'll give you great, free personalized car insurance quotes, but they'll also do that for home and renters. So there's two distinct tiles on our dashboard for you to utilize so that you can make sure that you're getting a quote. And then truthfully, if you want to lump your entire quote together and do home renters and auto together, you can do that through our platform. We then have SoFi. So you can refinance student loans, but you can also take out new loans and then explore other financial resources. So I'm not sure if you're aware, but the Fed met about a month ago, and they actually reduced loan rates. So this is the perfect time if your employees are looking for ways to find money that they can refinance some of their loans and really take advantage of what the government just did by lowering those interest rates. And then our last opportunity, and you'll see new at the top, is Aflac is offering accident, cancer, and critical illness insurance policies. So if your employees are looking for those, please have them come back here, and they can sign in and learn more. So as I shared, I can click Get Started right here so that we can jump over into the pay on demand. And what this does is this is launching our managed applications drawer. So your employees can come in, and if there's one of these that they want to take advantage of, they can approve and launch. Oops, sorry, didn't click my button. So now I can approve and launch. So I said, yes, I read the terms, even though you all saw me not read the terms. But it's going to take us over and it's going to log me into that experience and walk me through what I can do to be engaged in that platform. It looks like this might be taking a minute. So what I'd like to do if it works for everybody, not that anybody can tell me it doesn't, I'm going to stop sharing my screen, and I'm going to take us back over to our presentation, because I do want to take some time to dive into those perks that we have available. So we just went through our showcase, and I showed you some of the perks. We have new perks coming. And this excites me because something that the team that I work with is doing so well is looking for new perks to give to these employees. So they're looking at the research that we're doing, what may not exist, and what we want to offer to really help people. So as we move forward, our first new perk that I'm going to share is dental and vision insurance, which is offered through CoreStream. So I had shared that CoreStream has all of those benefits. It was that first tile we saw on the dashboard. But one of the things that they just opened up, which I love, is dental vision insurance. So I alluded to this already, but if you have a great medical plan and your employees need dental and vision options, you can come in and get those from CoreStream. So they're provided by MetLife insurance, which is a trusted leader in coverage. They have low group rates and flexible tiers, and they do offer employee only, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and an employee plus family is the orthodontia option. I know braces cost a ton. If you're looking for an option that can give you that for your children or give your employees that, I'll say, this is where we can go. From there, we have per pay. We've created a oops, sorry. Pay per pay is a pay over time marketplace. So it's integrated with no interest or fees. And it's a great opportunity for employees to build and repair their credit score. So essentially, what they can do is they can go in and they can purchase an item, and they're going to purchase it and utilize payroll deduction to pay for it. So I had mentioned a TV before TVs are hot on my mind because we just got a new one at home. And what this does is I could have purchased that TV and then paid over time using my paycheck here. Great offering. This is launching along with the core stream benefit I talked about earlier in early November. And then our next benefit, which is early November also is Veeva personal loans. So this is going to support your employees financial well-being. It's going to give access to personal loans. It's a streamlined application and approval process, and I'll say, and funding process. And it really is a great offering. So we've talked about a couple different loan options. And the nice thing I like is we have loan options for every type of employee. So there's short term loan options. There's loan options that I'll say might be around five years. And then there's longer term loan options. So we've built that into this platform to really support any need at any point in time for those employees. I am really flying through this, which is great because it gives us time to talk about the employer toolkit. So the employer toolkit is one of the resources we're providing to you here today. And you have the ability to use this toolkit to grab, we'll say, emails or memos that you can send out to your employees. There's printable posters, so you can go in and you can print out a poster to display in the workplace. And there's informational employee videos. There's also the ability to go to each of our partners. So some of our partners have provided program specific information at the bottom of the toolkit. And you'll see we've linked to that toolkit right here in this deck. So when you go to download this presentation, you'll automatically have a link to that. The other thing that I'd like to point out, we'll talk about some of the resources on the back end also, is the slides that I showed you for new perks that are coming. We actually built slides for every single perks that we offer. So you have the ability at the end or even during this presentation to download that presentation, I'll say module, and utilize that during open enrollment. So you can customize that however you want. But as you're hosting your open enrollment meetings for your employees, what you can do is use that information, put it on screen, talk through some of these benefits, and let them know they are available to you. Keep hitting the wrong button to advance to the next slide, Rob. Oh, Rob, we're getting good. So let's recap what we've learned. And then I see all kinds of questions coming in. I will share we do have an FAQ doc that you can download also, but we have a great team behind the scenes answering questions. And I think it's going to give Rob and I, I'll say, probably about eight to ten minutes to go through some questions. So what we've learned is we gave you that high level overview of Paychex Flex Perks and what it is. We kind of dove into what it looks like inside of the platform. And then in addition, we talked to you about each of those perks. We've also given you those slides that you can download later to use as part of your everyday meetings with your employees. So from there, Rob, are you with me still, my friend? I am with you still. So I do would to point out as a reminder, Paychex Perks or Flex Perks is included as a part of our all in one software, Paychex Flex. So if you're already a client with Paychex, you have access to these perks for your employees right at your fingertips, just as you saw Stephanie demonstrate. If you're not a customer yet and you want to explore the benefits, just click yes here. We'll have a, paychecks professional call you about streamlining your payroll processing with Flex, which will also give you access to the Perks mark, Perks Marketplace and all of those great features and benefits that Stephanie just showed us. So I'll give you a minute there just to let us know, and now we're going to get to some Q and A. You're right, Stephanie, a lot of questions come in. There's a lot of questions around what people have access to. Some people were noticing they didn't have access to what was on your screen, what you were showing, and there was also some questions about whether or not I can turn off some of the perks. I'm offering some of these things through other areas, through maybe a broker, or maybe I just don't want my employees to have access to this. So tell me a little bit about the functionality of perks there. Absolutely, Robin. I'm glad that's the first question you went to, because I saw a bunch of those coming in, and I was like, that's the first one I wanted to answer. So because of your relationship with Paychex and some of the, I'll say, Paychex products you purchase, you might not get access to some of the perks because they might be competing with the Paychex product you have. What I do encourage people to do is if you have an HR business professional at Paychex that you work with, please reach out to them and talk through with them how you might be able to get access to that perk. In addition to it, you might not see all of the perks because you may have accidentally turned them off. And so where somebody was saying, can I turn them on or can I turn them off as an admin? You absolutely have the right to do that. What you would do is you would go into Paychex Flex inside of your admin portal, and you would go to the connected app store, and that's where you can see all of the perks that are offered to your company, and you have the ability to toggle them on and toggle them off. What I do want to say is I ask that before you do that, please reach out to us. Sometimes what we found is an employer has gone in to toggle something off, not realizing their employee is already taking advantage of it, or I'll say a couple of their employees are. And so what ends up happening is it disconnects the employee's access to be able to use that benefit that they've opted into. So Rob, I see you shaking your head. Nobody else can see you shaking your head, but we have a great dialogue. Great point there. This question is from Diana, actually. And this is, does Paychex already send our employees information on the Perks, or only do we send information to employees? So this, I think, plays into that toolkit a little bit and really plays into how important it is for employers to communicate to their people, hey, this is what we've given to you. This is what we're providing to you. This is all the great stuff we're making available. But can you give Diane a little more information there, Stephanie? Rob, I would love to. And this is like one of the main components of my job. So if you don't like the communication you're getting, can call and yell at me, but I hope you do. But Paychex does well, I'll say Paychex and our partners do send information to your employees to help promote these perks. But this is really a partnership. And what I normally like to see is if we're sending communications, our employers know, our clients know that we're sending them. And then you can actually talk to your employees about it also. But it truly is a partnership. And that's what that toolkit is for, is to go in and get the information you want. I always like to utilize story from back in the day when I was managing like a team of people. And employees would come in and talk to me, and they'd ask about different offerings. And the legal service is the one that I lecture every young individual that works with us about getting a legal service to do their wills. But knowing as an employer all of the benefits that are available in Perks, when an employee comes in and might be struggling with something, you have these at your fingertips to then offer them to the employees. So that example, I had an employee that needed some additional assistance. I was able to talk to them about the legal insurance and hand over a flyer, rate them in there to utilize it. Rob, did I answer the question? I got so excited about legal services. I think you did, and I'm actually busy scanning for more, Stephanie. There's a Oh, couple that's of things interesting. For few months Yep. There's one from, I think it's Monia, might be Monia, asking, do all employees get access to the same perks? So is this a company wide setting when you do this and everybody gets access to all the perks? Yes, 100%. It's either all on or all off so that all of your employees can take advantage of what's offered. Excellent, very good. Was an easy one Rob, thank you. That was an easy one. And then just a question from me. Is it always on the desktop, my flex? Like, is there a mobile app? Like, I know most employees like to use most people like to use their phones for this. So tell me about the is there a mobile side to this equation? Rob, I love that you asked that, and I probably should have said it. So thanks for asking as a question and not calling me out. I appreciate that. But the mobile app is one of my favorite things in the world. So we're going to flash back again to when I was in a manufacturing facility, and I was constantly walking around the floor with the team, and I always had my phone on. And people would stop me, and to have the ability to log into Paychex Flex from my phone was key. And I could log in and click on my perks and then see everything that was available. So a lot of times as a leader, I would click on it and be able to say, oh, yeah, it's right here. This is how you access it. The other thing I liked about it, Rob, was at home when it was time to talk with my spouse about benefits, we could pull it right up on the app and go through the benefits there together. So if we were looking at critical care insurance or automobile insurance, we could do that together at home. Oh my God, thank you for asking, Rob. I owe you big time for that. That's perfect. I got time for one last question. And this is interesting. This is from Laurie and this implies or this is a discussion about how easy this is. Laurie wants to confirm that the employees sign up on their own and Flex automatically adds it to the system, withdraws it from their paycheck, and there's no extra overhead for the employer to set things up and make things happen. Okay, so that was another easy one because the answer is yes. So the employee logs in, they accept the benefit, and then it automatically starts going. The one hiccup that I will say, and this is a great question, you said it was from Lori, right? Yep. Yep. Okay. So Lori, the great part about this, so the great part about your question is, on your payroll journal, you will see a change. And so you might see more money taken out on your payroll journal. That money is coming from the employee. So don't panic. Don't think it's money being pulled from your business for this benefit. Recognize that that's actually from the employee. And again, if you have questions, we have a great team of people that's here that can walk you through that. Also, I'm going to cross my fingers this is still the case. I'm fairly certain there is a video in the Help section of Paychex Flex for Admins that shows you what your payroll journal will look like. If I'm wrong, again, you can find me and yell at me, but we did have a video, I would say, about three months ago that was in there. So you should be able to see what it's going to look like on that payroll journal. If not, there is a whole team of people behind the scenes trying to make that happen because they just sent it. Excellent. Fantastic. Well, Stephanie, this was so much great information. I believe we're up against time, so I just want to get to a quick recap here for everybody. I just want to reemphasize, in addition to that employer toolkit that Stephanie mentioned, it's everything you need to help promote Perks to your team. We've got more tools to highlight for you, and these are in the files and resources window. We got a printable PDF of today's presentation, including some slides that weren't shown. Stephanie showed a lot of that, so we'll get that into that deck. Also, there's an eight page FAQ document that'll cover almost every question you or your employees may have about parks. We had a lot of questions come in, a lot of them were very specific, so I'm sorry if we couldn't get to them all. And then also you'll find a two minute video overview, online articles about the value of voluntary benefits, easy login instructions for your employees, and more. So don't leave today's session without them. As I mentioned, you'll be getting an email, a little follow-up. You can log back into the console here and download all of those resources. And with that, I want to say thank you to everybody for joining us today. This was great, Stephanie. So much great information, really helpful to our clients. If everybody can spare a few minutes as we close, we'd welcome your feedback on a brief survey that'll pop up. Your responses help improve future resources like this to support you and your business. Thanks again, and I hope everyone has a great day.
